High School students meet at the church for Mystery Bible Study at 7pm.

Middle School Event - (Wednesday, 8/4/2010)
Wednesday, August 4th, Middle School Youth Group meets at Celebration station. We will play putt-putt, dine at McDonalds and then head to church for class time. Meet at Celebration Station at 4pm, bring $10. Transportation will be provided from there.

Ross Pruitt Surgery - (Updated: Saturday, 7/31/2010)
Ross Pruitt had surgery early this morning (Saturday)at Our Lady of the Lake to repair a detached retina. The surgery went well. The injury seems to have been caused due to a sky diving trip he just returned from in Colorado. He will be staying with Tim and Julie Ashton today.

Robin Cook - (Updated: Friday, 7/30/2010)
Robin is going to be having some testing done (out-patient) for her high blood pressure. She request prayers that these go well and that they get an answer as to why she is having trouble controlling it.

Iva Allen - (Updated: Thursday, 7/29/2010)
Good news! The neurosurgeon told Iva that she has to wear the brace for at least another month but that eventually she should be able to walk again. She was able to stand for 6 minutes today and is feeling much stronger. She really appreciates getting the bulletin. Iva is at Olle Steele Burden Manor Nursing Home.

Ellen Bargona - (Updated: Thursday, 7/29/2010)
Sister of Willie Andrews, mother of Monteal Carson, fell Sunday morning and broke her hip. It is uncertain at this time what will be done for her. She is 92-years-old and lives in Natchez.

Mike Reeves' Cousin - (Updated: Thursday, 7/29/2010)
Mike's cousin, Katy 22 yrs., has eye cancer. She had a treatment in Boston where they sew protons around the tumor. Katy began radiation treatments on her eye this week in Boston. They will continue through Friday. One possibility is the complete loss of eyesight without warning. She is hopeful that the results will be favorable. She asks for prayers for safe travel, to give her peace, to reduce the pain, and to eliminate her fear of the procedure.

Virginia Pursley - (Updated: Wednesday, 7/28/2010)
Virginia is in Ochsner Medical Center. She is so much better and misses everyone here. Please pray that regains her strength.

Lacey Brunson - (Updated: Wednesday, 7/28/2010)
Lacey is able to get out of the wheelchair and walk everywhere, but the side effect is that she gets tired of walking to all of her hospital appointments. Her heart has to get back in shape as she walks more her heart muscle will get stronger. Lacey's hair had grown back but Monday night began falling out again. She is very discouraged. Lacey has about 6 more weeks left before they get to come home.

Andre' Felix - (Updated: Wednesday, 7/28/2010)
Andre' had surgery last week on his hand. He is doing well. He goes back to the doctor Thursday, July 29th to determine how he is healing.

"Little Al" Rankins - (Updated: Tuesday, 7/27/2010)
"Little A" is the nephew of a co-worker of Tad Hardy's. He has a brain tumor & soon will start chemo at St. Jude's. Please keep him in prayer for his healing.

Andre'Felix - (Updated: Monday, 7/26/2010)
Andre' had successful surgery Thursday, 21st, on his wrist. Two pins were placed and two torn ligaments repaired. He has some discomfort but is doing well.

Answered Prayers - (Updated: Friday, 7/23/2010)
Jazzlyn Giggens, the 9-month-old great niece of Prissy Felix, had a brain aneurysm, which lead to the discovery of a brain tumor. She had surgery Wed., July 21st, which removed the tumor. She is doing great and should be moved from the NICU on Saturday to a regular room.

Newest Little Lamb
Sara & Kyle Kinberger are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. Lily Katherine arrived this morning, Thursday, July 22nd weighing 8lbs. 15oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. Larry & Sally Kirschner are the proud grandparents. Everyone is doing well.

Travis Mitchen Engagement
Melanie and Richard Mitchen are excited to announce the engagement of their son, Travis, to Christa Ray. The wedding will take place in New Orleans on January 22, 2011.

Jeanette Livingston's 5th grandson
Gabe and Marci Livingston have a new baby boy. Mason Paul Livingston was born 7/15 at 10:08 a.m. He is 6 lb. 8 oz and 18.5 inches long. He joins brothers Mark, Asher and Adin. This is the 5th grandson for Stanley and Jeanette. Congratulations!

New Christians
Two baptisms in Lafayette, Tri'kei Laran Hawkins and Valerie Marie LaGrange became Christians Tuesday, July 14th. We rejoice with the angels!!

Congratulations to Bill & Adye Walters on the arrival of William Sebastian. He weighed in at 8lbs 8ozs. on Wednesday. Arianna is his big sister. We celebrate with the Walters family.

Please bring non perishable items for the food pantry. You will find boxes in the foyer of both buildings. Single family serving sizes are best. We are especially in need of canned/powdered milk, biscuits/cornbread mix, can meats.
