Ladies' Planning Committee
Purpose: To plan yearly retreats, ladies Bible classes, and social
opportunities. To be attuned to all ladies and offer opportunities for
participation and service.

Bridal/Baby Showers
Purpose: To honor new brides or mothers-to-be. Organized by many different ladies.
Usually coordinated by women in the Life Group in which the honoree participates.
Contact: Church office (927-6954) for calendar clearance.
Education
Purpose: To provide the children of our congregation with age-appropriate
materials and leadership which will enhance their knowledge of Christ, His church
and His teachings. This area is under the direction of deacons in the education department.

Nursery Education:

Girls Night Out
Purpose: To provide an evening for young married women to have fellowship
and devotional time with Christian sisters one night every other month.

English Language Bible Study
Purpose: To provide English Bible studies with Chinese ladies in an individual
or small group setting in their homes.

Kid's Praise
Purpose: To provide children a medium to learn to praise God. Conducted
during Sunday morning worship hours. Volunteers are needed to work with our children.

Lunch Bunch
Purpose: To provide an avenue for fellowship and sharing over lunch.
Ladies will meet for lunch on the first Thursday of every month. Those
attending one month will choose the location for the following month.

Prison Ministry
Purpose: To send women into the Louisiana Correctional Institute for
Women (LCIW) at St. Gabriel for Sunday worship or Tuesday afternoon Bible class.
Bible correspondence courses (for both men and women) are a vital part of the
prison ministry. Graders for these correspondence classes are always needed.

Women's College Ministry
Purpose: To provide college women the opportunity to meet and
study with other college students. Check with the Student Center for
information on time and format.
Woman To Woman Counseling
Purpose: To provide one-on-one counseling to women as the need arises.
This assists the elders in their shepherding. Referrals to professional
counselors are made as needed.
